We went to our first play-date today in Brunswick! I was super nervous because I'm not too good at stepping out of my box to mingle with other people but we ended up having a lot of fun! We got there a little late so we only got to play for about 45 minutes but Cash was great with the other babies. He did assume the role of "Toy Stealer" which was a little embarrassing. He was the only boy with 4 girls who were close to half his size but older. He's quick on his toes and hands now and the moment he saw a little toy that he wanted he barreled over there and took it. Someone has GOT to teach this kid some manners!!! hehehe After he inspected every toy he lost interest and then just wanted to visit the other babies. I think he had a really good time. I found play dates to be much more for the Mommies than the babies though! It was nice to get out of the house and interact with other people who have the same sort of daily issues that I do. Next week they are hosting a "Recipe Club" party which I might go to. I'm feeling so domestic! And it feels so good! Thank goodness for Women's Lib. which gave me the choice to stay home if I wanted to and be a domestic goddess! I absolutely could not imagine going to work now and missing all of this... It's just what I was made for.

I'm glad you and Cash had fun. You must go to the recipe club and send me any good ones you find. I'm feeling like I need to do something better for myself than cottage cheese and peaches. :)
Love you ~g

OMG!!
That has got to be the most angelic baby picture I have ever seen. Every mother has seen their child like that but capturing the moment is nearly impossible.
Play dates are ALWAYS about moms, not babies, silly goose.. And after the recipe date, you can have a book date.
It is always fun to see how the babies interact tho. And what is even funnier is to get together with these same 'babies' 19 years later to hear their opinions of each other..
Your a great mom.

You bring tears to my eyes, of joy and warmth. Yes my dear, you were made for this. You won't have to be told "enjoy every minute, it goes by so fast" because it is so obvious that you are. My grandson is a lucky little man, to have you! luvya mom.

I can't wait. Even though I'm choosing to go back to work after my six week leave our ultimate goal is for me to be a stay at home mom (who owns a bakery and writes novels on the side.)

Sara this picture is amazing, you have such talent - as a photographer and domestic goddess.

Ohhhh! I would love to work in your bakery and read your rough drafts!!! We can be stay-at-home domestic goddesses and watch Brody and Cash grow up together :o) How ideal!
